Wind-solar hybrid power-supply system

Hybrid renewable energy systems (HRES) are becoming popular as stand-alone power systems for providing electricity in remote areas due to advances in renewable energy technologies and subsequent rise in prices of petroleum products.
A hybrid energy system, or hybrid power, usually consists of two or more renewable energy sources used together to provide increased system efficiency as well as greater balance in energy supply.

A solar hybrids system , include solar-wind systems. The combination of wind and solar PV has the advantage that the two sources complement each other because the peak operating times for each system occur at different times of the day and year. The power generation of such a hybrid system is therefore more constant and fluctuates less than each of the two component subsystems.

Block diagram of a PV/wind hybrid energy system
This is the diagram, ie the working principle

It is a example of a hybrid energy system is a photovoltaic array coupled with a wind turbine. This would create more output from the wind turbine during the winter, whereas during the summer, the solar panels would produce their peak output.
Hybrid energy systems often yield greater economic and environmental returns than wind, solar, geothermal  stand-alone systems by themselves.
An inverter is used to generate AC low voltage, which more typical appliances can be used with.Stand-alone photovoltaic power systems are independent of the utility grid and may use solar panels only or may be used in conjunction with a diesel generator, a wind turbine ,

For that we propose you
"Hybrid Wind and Solar Electric Systems"

Because the peak operating times for wind and solar systems occur at different times of the day and year, hybrid systems are more likely to produce power when you need it.

According to many renewable energy experts, a small "hybrid" electric system that combines home wind electric and home solar electric  (photovoltaic or PV) technologies offers several advantages over either single system.

In much of the United States, wind speeds are low in the summer when the sun shines brightest and longest. The wind is strong in the winter when less sunlight is available. Because the peak operating times for wind and solar systems occur at different times of the day and year, hybrid systems are more likely to produce power when you need it.

Now in US the best price for a good quality  is from 11 000$ to ,,,25 000$ , without any tracking or tower kit for wind turbine.

But if is shell by fully installed, assembled, tested and approved in the US, and when their manufacturer shall provide technical assistance, accidental repair, and periodic superior quality and standardization at a more accessible price [10 000 $ to 20 000 $],

The manufacturer will have its own station, where you can see they are operating, and providing the necessary energy users, but also creating electricity charging station, independent, for cars, motorcycles and electric vehicle development to help electric vehicles for removal carbon emissions

This is the energy of the future to replace oil and gas consumption, to defend the planet from carbon emissions, but also against the danger of "nuclear accident" as it was "Fukushima"

We want to promote this way of independently produce the energy required for home, small businesses but also for medium to large energy consumers
We are looking for investors in this idea, association or for project financing

CMS consortium to roll out Malaysia’s first EV cars in August

Malaysia's first Electric Vehicle Car Sharing Programme or Cohesive Mobility Solution is expected to be launched officially by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak in August.
PUTRAJAYA, May 7
CMS Consortium Sdn Bhd aims to roll out Malaysia’s first Electric Vehicle (EV) Car Sharing Programme or Cohesive Mobility Solution (Comos) in August with about 30-40 units of the vehicles to be placed in selected hot spots in the Klang Valley.
This private-public partnership programme between CMS Consortium, Malaysia Automotive Institute (MAI) and Malaysian Green Technology Corp will offer Comos as a complete E-Mobility service.
It will done by integrating various parts of the EV ecosystem and value chain including EV charging providers, EV fleet operators, parking management operators and telecommunication network operators.
Comos Executive Chairman Datuk Seri Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohamad Tahir said after the Klang Valley, it expected to put another 20-30 units of the EV cars in Langkawi by November this year under the first phase.
He said the Comos programme would be moving on to Malacca, Johor Baru and Penang for the second phase and finally throughout Peninsular Malaysia.
Speaking to the media after the soft launch of Comos by the Minister of International Trade and Industry Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed here today, Syed Zainal said with the initial capital of RM5-7 million, the group aimed to grow the EV car fleet to 3,500 units nationwide by 2020.
Asked on the rate for rent of Comos, he said that the discussion was still ongoing, but noted that the fee would slightly be higher than normal taxi charges and it planned to offer weekly and yearly Comos membership programmes.
Earlier in his speech, Mustapa said the EV car sharing programme was the first of such initiatives in Malaysia as well as in Asean and it could help reduce carbon dioxide emissions and the consumption of fuel leading to lower fuel subsidy.
“Car sharing is a form of public transportation hence it is able to reduce the traffic congestion.”
The first of its kind in the region, the Comos programme was expected to be launched officially by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak in August.

Chrysler to launch plug-in hybrid electric minivan in 2016

The news just keeps on rolling from Auburn Hills today, as Fiat Chrysler continues to detail its five-year growth plan. This time round, we're talking about Chrysler.
Chrysler is set to launch a plug-in hybrid minivan capable of returning 75MPGe. The new car will come in the form of a new Town & Country model on sale in 2016.
The MPV will compete with cars such as the Ford C-Max Energi and Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid, offering enough space for families yet forgoing the heavy fuel bills these larger vehicles incur. Ford’s plug-in hybrid is currently rated at at 100MPGe, although that falls to 43mpg once charge from the battery is depleted.
Naturally, then, Chrysler will need some new product to hit that goal. Leading the charge will be a "thoroughly refreshed" 300 sedan, which we can expect to see later this year at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Considering the 300's 2011 arrival, this fits in nicely with the average automotive life cycle.
Following the 300's refresh, 2016 will see the arrival of the Chrysler 100, a C-segment offering that will challenge the likes of the Ford Focus, Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla and Chevrolet Cruze. The 100 may be the most important vehicle in the Chrysler brand's five-year plan, as it will mark its entry into one of the hottest segments in the auto industry.
Five years ago, then-new Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne and a new executive team held a marathon day-long presentation session on the company's future, laying out a product plan in conjunction with Fiat following its government-backed restructuring.
Today, what is now Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) is doing it again-and the company has confirmed it will offer at least two plug-in hybrid electric models starting in 2016.
Plug-in minivan, big crossover
Marchionne had said in 2011 that Chrysler would offer a Chrysler 300 Hybrid full-size sedan (in 2013) and a hybrid minivan to follow the same year, both conventional hybrids.
Neither vehicle appeared, but those were hardly the only changes to the five-year product plan that had been announced in 2009.
Instead, Chrysler will now offer a plug-in hybrid version of an all-new minivan during 2016, and a full-sized crossover in 2017 that also has a plug-in hybrid option.
The plug-in hybrid minivan will get "75 mpg," said Chrysler president and CEO Al Gardner--presumably referring to its MPGe rating goal for operation in fully electric mode.
(MPGe is an EPA efficiency rating that measures the distance that can be covered under electric power on the same amount of energy as contained in 1 gallon of gasoline.)
A plug-in hybrid minivan in 2016 could well be the very first minivan with a plug sold in North America--though several plug-in hybrid crossovers are on their way from Mitsubishi, Range Rover, and Volvo among others.
To date, the only plug-in electric car Chrysler sells is the low-volume Fiat 500e compliance car, whose sales it refuses to release.
Fiat Chrysler will provide more technical specifications on its powertrains and hybrid-electric systems this afternoon.

As an alternative to the transmission setting ‘D’ for automatic driving, the driver can also use the gear lever to change to the SPORT mode. This mode also includes manual gear selection – via the gearshift or paddles on the steering wheel. The SPORT mode also activates vehicle settings that are especially suited to sporty driving. The combustion engine and the electric motor unleash their driving torque with maximum dynamics, the accelerator’s characteristic line is programmed to react spontaneously, and the driver enjoys the full impact of the electric motor’s boost function. To ensure there is always enough energy available, the SPORT setting also affords maximum energy regeneration in the thrust and brake phases.

2014 Toyota RAV4 EV

The RAV4 EV is an all-electric version of Toyota's previous-generation compact RAV4 crossover with a Tesla-sourced battery and powertrain
Aside from a few minor styling tweaks, from the outside the RAV4 EV would seem to be a dead ringer for the last gas-powered RAV4. The differences become apparent when one gets inside and twists the key - instead of firing up an internal combustion engine, this turns on a Tesla-designed 115kW electric drive system.
The motor produces 154 horsepower and a strong 273 lb-ft of torque, good for a zero-to-60 mph time of just seven seconds in performance-oriented Sport mode. The default drive setting, Normal mode, is optimized to maximize driving range and limits torque to 218 lb-ft. This adds 1.6 seconds to the zero-to-60 mph sprint.
When the time comes to recharge, there are two options. Standard mode charges to 35 kWh for an estimated 92 mile range, while Extended mode charges to 41.8 kWh for 113 miles. Toyota claims that Standard mode will prolong the charging life of the lithium-ion battery, which is covered by a warranty of eight years or 100,000 miles. Charging takes about six hours with a 240v charging station that adds $1,590 (plus installation) to the botton line; an 120V emergency charger is included as standard but this unit takes 44 hours to fully charge the vehicle.
Notably, the batteries don't impinge on cargo space thanks to their placement low and to the center of the vehicle. That means that 36.4 cubic inches are available behind the rear seats, while a full 73 cubes can be had with the rear seats folded.
Exterior revisions compared to the gas-powered RAV4 include a revised front bumper, grill, side mirrors and rear spoiler in addition to a special underbody design that maximizes air flow around the vehicle. These changes help cut drag to 0.30 Cd, making it the most aerodynamic crossover in the world. Headlights, taillights and daytime running lights are all upgraded to LED units.
The RAV4 EV is currently the only pure electric crossover on the market. If putting an electric vehicle in your driveway is important, EVs like the Nissan Leaf sedan and the Ford Focus Electric are worth considering. If you're just looking for a vehicle with a spacious interior and low energy costs, check out Ford C-MAX Energi plug-in hybrid and the Toyota Prius V.

Toyota strives to build vehicles to match customer interest and thus they typically are built with popular options and option packages. Not all options/packages are available separately and some may not be available in all regions of the country. If you would prefer a vehicle with no or different options, contact your dealer to check for current availability or the possibility of placing a special order.
Some vehicles are shown with available equipment. Seatbelts should be worn at all times. For details on vehicle specifications, standard features and available equipment in your area, contact your Toyota dealer. A vehicle with particular equipment may not be available at the dealership. Ask your Toyota dealer to help locate a specifically equipped vehicle.

Mahindra Halo Electric Sports Revealed

Electric cars are gaining popularity at least in terms of news coverage. We may be in awe of Tesla, but Mahindra is looking to expand into the green market and has showcased its ambitions with the all new Halo concept sports car. Mahindra has gone all out at the 12 biennial auto expo.
They have showcased their two wheeler range including the Mojo and all new Centuro, their new range of trucks and technologies, the adventure sports range of SUV’s, not to mention the XUV hybrid, the Mahindra Ssangyong range and their range of electric cars including the Verito.
The Halo concept sports car is an ambitious brand image building model which is of course far from going into production. Mahindra claims the Halo will do the 0-100 km/h run in under 10 seconds, has a range of over 250 kms on a full charge and will hit a top speed of 160 km/h. This may not be much considering it’s a sports car and even most hatch-backs will hit that speed, but for a Reva electric motor it is decent.
They also added the smart charging port to the e20. The point comes in behind the car next to where the number plate is placed and the functionality is similar to any regular petrol pump nozzle. Pravin Shah CEO, automotive sector, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd said, “We haven’t received the reaction we hoped for with the e20. It is a tough market to penetrate into, but we will continue to work towards strengthening the segment and building better and more accessible cars

Renault KWID Concept unveiled at New Delhi Auto Expo 2014 [VODEO]

French car maker Renault made the global launch of its concept car KWID besides introducing new variants of models Fluence and Duster.
"This is the first time we have chosen to reveal a concept car outside Europe and this is eloquent sign of our commitment to India," Gilles Normand, Senior Vice President and Chairman Asia Pacific Region Renault said at the 12th Auto Expo

We’re at the Renault pavilion at the 2014 Auto Expo! The list of cars on display at hall 5 of the Expo mart include the Renault Duster,face-lifted Koleos{ priced around Rs 26. 20 lakh), the electric Zoe hatchback  (One of 4 electric cars soon to arrive) and the Megane.
Celebrating over 1 lakh Renaults on Indian roads in a span of just over a year, the French car-maker has revealed the KWID concept car. Renault has also unveiled the Duster adventure edition which will be launched shortly, however the Duster face-lift will have to wait for now.
The Duster is the no 1 SUV in India today and among the top 15 selling cars in the country overall. Citing this success Renault has unveiled the KWID concept car.
The KWID has made its world premier and was designed with inputs from Renault Design India and is covered by the Explore petal of Renault’s life cycle based strategy. The vehicle’s exciting proportions and dimensions as well as very short overhangs give the impression of a bouncing vehicle. while its over-sized wheels protrude past the fenders and make the KWID look a lot like a dune buggy.
The car is a compact SUV design and falls under the 4 metre mark. A production version of this concept car may just look like a smaller edition of the Toyota FJ Cruiser. The interior of the KWID is designed to serve as a snug cocoon and is inspired by a bird’s nest rather evidently. The vehicle’s seats suspended over a solid base in white give an impression of lightness. Renault’s plans for the 6th largest car market in the world are ambitious and the showcasing of another SUV concept means it is likely that they will draw upon the success of the Duster. The cars are currently manufactured in Orangadam Chennai and have a capacity of 480,000 units per annum.
Along with the cars Renault also announced the arrival of Renault India’s new CEO Sumit Sawhney who along with Gilles Normand, Senior VP, chairman Renault Asia-Pacific unveiled the KWID Concept. Electric Audi Q8 e-tron @ Nears Production, Again

‘Tesla-fighter’ confirmed: Electric Audi Q8 e-tron gets production green light with 370-mile range
The saga of the Audi R8 e-tron stretches all the way back to the 2009 and now all the Audi R8 e-tron needs is a signature to make it to production. Since the first e-tron concept debuted in 2009, a production-intent version has set Nurburgring records, been cancelled, and made a comeback thanks to new battery chemistry. Now all the Audi R8 e-tron needs is a signature to make it to production.
The Audi R8 e-tron had been cancelled due to cost and range concerns, and a limited run of just ten vehicles for research purposes was to be built. But a last-minute reprieve was granted thanks to improved batteries, which supposedly doubled the range without making the final product ridiculously expensive. Reports suggest the finished Audi R8 e-tron has a range of 250 miles per charge, and about 376 horsepower from twin electric motors.
The final piece of the puzzle is a signature from Ulrich Hackenberg, Audi’s technical director and the man who most likely snuffed the project in the first place. I can understand the reasoning in light of vehicles like the Mercedes SLS AMG Electric Drive. Besides being a pain in the ass to type, the $537,000 electric supercar has a driving range of just 155 miles per charge. Sure, it’s fast, but you’re looking at maybe two hours of aggressive driving followed by eight or more hours of charging. I doubt a lot of people are lining up for such a limited supercar, and the range and top speed of the Audi R8 e-tron probably put the kibosh on the project.
If the Audi R8 e-tron is capable of delivering 250 miles of driving per charge, however, that puts it on par with the Tesla Model S. What Audi will deliver in terms of fast charging could be what makes the Audi R8 e-tron a “practical” electric supercar, and just another toy for the “coulda been cool” collection.

Mahindra e2o Electric Car Review [VIDEO]

The Mahindra group today launched its first electric car 'e2o' after it acquired Bangalore-based electric car maker Reva. The group also said it has plans to extend the electric mobility technology to its two-wheelers, while seeking support from the central government for pushing eco-friendly vehicles.
The Mahindra e2o, previously REVA NXR, is an urban electric car hatchback manufactured by Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicles. The e2o is the REVA G-Wiz successor and was developed using REVA's technology, and has a range of 100 km (62 mi). The electric car was launched in India in March 2013 at a price between Rs 6.5 lakh(US$11,900) to Rs 8.5 lakh (US$15,670) depending on the city and before any subsidy. Mahindra also plans to launch the e2o in the European market during the first quarter of 2014
The electric car has a lithium-ion battery pack that takes five hours for a full charge, and with a weight of 830 kg (1,830 lb), delivers a range of 100 km (62 mi) and a top speed of 80 km/h (50 mph). The e2o is one of the more advanced cars on Indian roads, with smartphone-controlled features, GPS navigation system and a dashboard-mounted touchscreen, keyless entry,start/stop button, and regenerative braking. According to Mahindra, the car'scrumple zones comply with European norms
The Mahindra e2o is the first-in-line of next-generation global Electric Vehicle.
e2o is born keeping YOU and the future in mind. We are confident the e2o will transform you into a different world with its Future Inspired design, Technically Advanced DNA, & being the most convenient way to travel in the city.
Imagine “Your vehicle talking to You”. The e2o has intelligent drive assist system which is equipped to diagnose, record and notify information all on its own. While on the go, the e2o equips you with real time information on how far you can go with the charge in the e2o’s battery, thus making the drive stress free and a pleasure.
The Mahindra e2o is manufactured at Mahindra's Bangalore factory. The company invested Rs 100 crore (US$18.5 million) on the development of the car and construction of a manufacturing plant with an annual capacity of 30,000 units a year, but Mahindra initially expects to sell only about 400 to 500 units a month, with Delhi accounting with about 150 to 200 units. Due to delays in the roll-out of the central government incentives, in November 2013 Mahindra announced it was scaling back plans to release of other electric vehicles, and reported that by mid November only about 400 units have been sold in India, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
The e2o was launched in India in March 2013 at a price between Rs 7.0 lakh (US$12,900) to Rs 8.5 lakh (US$15,670) depending on the city. In Delhi, the price is Rs 5.96 lakh (US$11,000) after a 29% subsidy granted by the city. The e2o is also available in Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, and Kochi. Mahindra also plans to launch the e2o in the European market during the first quarter of 2014

The main difference is that on a Sway, riders have direct control of vehicle tilt with their legs, through the patented linkage design. This allows the vehicle to be operated in a totally distinct manner from a motorcycle or a Piaggio MP3 -- Sway can turn tighter, and riders don't have to balance the vehicle or put their feet down at a stop.
The direct control of tilt with the legs, along with a slightly wider footprint, means that Sway offers riders greater stability in low-traction conditions such as snow, mud or ice.
Our experience is that people who ride a Sway quickly become comfortable with it and strongly prefer it to a two wheeler. The experience of riding a Sway is totally unique - Several of our early adopters are not scooter riders at all!
We're only pre-selling 300 for 2015, so we suggest you reserve your Sway with a $100 deposit, then try one out at one of our Demo Days to see if it works for you. We're so confident you will want it after riding it, that if you change your mind at that point, your deposit is fully refundable -- We'll even pay the processing fee ourselves.
