Dutch electric Superbus [VIDEO]

TU Delft (Dutch University of Technology) has unveiled the experimental prototype of the Superbus, an innovative concept of public transport, at the Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung (IAA) in Hannover.

The new electric bus features an aerodynamic design to create a fast, comfortable and sustainable mode of public transport. The Superbus has completed its first laps on the RDW test course in Lelystad.
The creators aim to combine a high-speed mode of transport with sustainable and flexible travel. The Superbus is a 23-passenger vehicle that is similar in length and width to a public bus and has the same height as a conventional SUV.
Powered by four electric motors, the Superbus will be able to carry its passengers at a speed of 155mph on specially constructed lanes outside residential areas.
