2014 Dodge SRT Viper

It's like fireworks and your first kiss rolled into one. SRT® Viper supplies a jolt of just what you need to light up your senses. A potent V-10 engine produces a sinister 640 horsepower at 6,150 rpm and 600 magnificent pound-feet of torque at 4,950 rpm, the most of any naturally aspirated sports car in the world. Get inspired with SRT Viper, SRT Viper GTS or SRT Viper TA for 2014.
From your very first look at the 2014 SRT® Viper, you will be charmed. Viper retains its classic lines and gill-shaped side ports with a slightly longer roofline and broad shoulders. The carbon-fiber hood, roof, decklid and aluminum door panels are lighter than previous models and air extractors on the hood help cool the V-10 engine.
A supercar gets super stopping power. The 2014 SRT® Viper is equipped with 14-inch (355 mm) vented rotors front and rear and industry-leading Brembo® four-piston calipers on every corner. The SRT Viper GTS features StopTech two-piece rotors that reduce weight by one-third.
The SRT Viper (formerly the Dodge Viper prior to the 2013 model year) is a V10-powered sports car, manufactured by the Dodge(SRT after 2013) division of Chrysler. Production of the two-seat sports car began at New Mack Assembly in 1991 and moved to its current home at Conner Avenue Assembly in October 1995.
At a dealer conference on September 14, 2010 in Orlando, Florida, Chrysler Group and Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne was reported to have concluded his remarks by unveiling a rolling 2012 Dodge Viper prototype. There would be no 2011 Viper. Quotes from the Detroit News from SRT CEO Ralph Gilles that hint to the future of the brand include:
"The new Viper is not based on anything else".
"The Viper cabin is very rearward and the hood is very long. Few cars in the industry are designed with those proportions anymore."
"I want the new Viper to be a more forgiving car to drive and accessible to more people. We've never had stability control on a high-performance car, which is about to happen on the new car."

Again for 2014, two variants of the potent SRT® Viper are offered, allowing customers to more closely tailor a vehicle to their preference. Enter the SRT Viper and SRT Viper GTS. Each with a different approach, the two variants maintain the goal of delivering the utmost performance from a hand-built vehicle. Aimed squarely at the performance enthusiast, the SRT Viper is the supercar in its purest form. With race-ready bucket seats and a simplistic approach, it’s ready for track duty at a moment’s notice. The record-setting SRT Viper TA Special Edition package takes things to the next level of on-track performance. Fully prepared for touring duty, the SRT Viper GTS is a more refined approach at harnessing the V-10’s fury. No matter the flavor, both SRT Viper variants are road-going sculptures equipped for spirited driving.
