The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Electric Drive currently holds at least three world records: it's the most powerful electric car in production, the fastest electric car in production and also the most expensive electric car in production.
In charge of the "power" record stand a total of 751 hp and 1000 Nm (738 lb ft) of torque, available on tap from four “permanent-magnet synchronous electric motors”, each weighing just 45 kilograms (99 pounds) and powering all four wheels.
The “fast” bit comes from the 3.9 seconds required to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standing start, its electronically-limited 250 km/h (155 mph) top speed and the 7:56 minutes required to complete a lap of the Nordschleife.
As for the “expensive” part, let's just say that with a starting price of EUR 416,500, the SLS AMG Electric Drive is the second most expensive Mercedes-Benz in the current lineup but the most expensive electric vehicle in production.
We have no idea why the following example has been vinyl-wrapped in white though (you can see the original blue color on the mirrors, the grille and the rear diffuser), as the car was spotted by an Auto Gespot member somewhere in Munich
