Renault ready for Formula E electric racing

Renault is taking the "what's good for the goose is good for the gander" approach by offering some financial backing for the Formula One-style all-electric vehicle racing circuit set to debut next year.

(Reuters) - A new series of high-speed electric car races in city centers around the world will aim to boost the market for battery-powered vehicles and advance the technology behind them, its backers said on Tuesday.
