The Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) has approved its most expensive car yet to qualify for its Plug-in Car Grants. Starting from £88,967, the model will cost from £83,967 once the full £5,000 subsidy is deducted.
The world’s first plug-in hybrid from an established car brand in the executive saloon class, the new Porsche Panamera SE-Hybrid combines a 3.0 litre V6 engine with an electric motor and lithium ion battery pack for the kind of performance you would expect from the brand. The 328bhp engine works with the 94bhp electric motor to deliver a 0-62 mph time of 5.5 seconds and a top speed of 167 mph.
