Mahindra Reva can be new Electric Vehicles in India

Like most of the aam junta (commoners), Mahindra Reva is not happy with the Indian government. What has ticked Mahindra Reva off? Well, the Indian government (through the Ministry of Natural and Renewable Energy) used to dole out direct subsidies to electric vehicles, reducing the on-road price of these vehicles by more than 15%. This subsidy was withdrawn on March 31st, 2012.
Ever since, sales of electric vehicles in India have hit turbulence. Mahindra Reva’s E2O electric car has bombed with barely 400 examples of the car being sold in India, after many months of its launch.
