Turkish firm buys half of wind farm from British company

Turkey’s STFA Yatirim Holding AS has bought a 50% of a wind farm in the country from the British based company Renewable Energy Systems Ltd (RES).
Turkey’s STFA Yatirim Holding AS has bought a 50% of a wind farm in the country’s Thrace region from the British based company Renewable Energy Systems Ltd.
The Evrencik wind farm in Kirikkale has a capacity of 120 megawatts. res sold half of its stake in the wind farm via its branch in Turkey’s Anatolia. The terms of the deal are yet to be disclosed.
Turkey is aiming to boost its reliance on wind and solar energy to 30% by the year 2023. The country currently only takes 3% of its energy from renewable resources, not including hydropower.
