The Nation's Largest Auto Show is in Chicago!

If you are car enthusiast of classic cars or futuristic concept make and model vehicles then you do not want to miss the upcoming Chicago Auto Show.
One of the most fascinating events at the show is the Concept Car event. The first concept car appeared at the Chicago Auto Show in 1938 and since has been a hit. A concept is a showcase for manufacturers to “show off” an idea. The upcoming show will have more than a dozen concept vehicles.
Possible concept cars at the show:
1. Toyota Corolla Furia – The Furia has a sloped roof-line and fender flares to help communicate the sense of motion when the car isn't moving. It will be equipped with LED taillights and carbon fiber wheel-wells to add a sense of modernism and flare.
2. Cadillac Urban Luxury Concept – The Urban Luxury Concept will be able to get over 56 MPG in the city and over 65 MPG on the highway. The interior has dials and gauges with projected readouts around the speedometer. It will be integrated with “Orbit Baby SmartHub” to help secure a child's car seat with ease.
3. Nissan's ESFLOW – Once you take a look at the ESFLOW you will realize it is modeled after the legendary Z and has the performance of the GT-R. The power of the ESFLOW comes from the popular Nissan LEAF and will have the ability to travel 150 miles on battery power. Powered with two electric motors which control the left and right wheels, it can go from 0 – 60 in less than 5 seconds. The ESFLOW will compete with many of the best electric cars on the road according to Auto Insure Savings.
4. BMW 328 Homage – Modeled after the legendary BMW 328, the Homage has design and technology which is subtle maximizing driver comfort. The alloy wheels have a stunning design with improved driving dynamics at high speeds. The body of the Homage will be built with carbon fiber and reinforced plastic making it durable and lightweight.
5. BMW GINA – The GINA is going to present ways to handle the challenges of the future. According to Christopher Bangle, Head of BMW Group Design, “Personal customer requirements will broaden the context of our products and change the core values that define our industry”. The GINA, or Geometry and Functions in “N” Adaptions, the BMW group is going to offer a new approach by creating products with design and function which expresses the drivers individuality while meeting the high demand of a variety of requirements.
Automobile manufacturer's take the needs of the consumer into consideration when developing a concept car. Many concept vehicles at the Chicago Auto Show are electric vehicles to meet the demand of energy-saving technology. Communications such as Vehicle to Vehicle (V2V) and Vehicle to Infrastructure (V2I) may be implemented in many of the concept cars to meet the demand for safety. If you want to glance at the future then it will be well worth your time to check out the concept cars at the Chicago Auto Show.
The tentative dates for the 2014 Chicago Auto Show will be Saturday, February 8th – Monday February 12th 2014.
