Jay Leno Loves Mission RS Electric Superbike

I’ll admit it — I hardly know anything about motorcycles. Never been my thing*. Nevertheless, I know that the Mission RS electric superbike is an awesome motorcycle — by many accounts, the best motorcycle on the market. It’s the Tesla of motorcycles, as some have put it.
Jay Leno, one of the most famous gearheads on the planet, recently tested out Mission Motorcycle’s highly acclaimed Mission RS electric superbike at his famous garage, Jay Leno’s Garage. Needless to say, he loved it. Listening to him talk about it while on the test ride, you can hear him laughing with joy repeatedly, and he clearly had several nice things to say about it.
Car News Cafe notes that the clip follows Jay’s normal video format — “He walks through the vehicle itself, interviews the owner/builder/designer and then has Jay driving the machine and telling us what it’s like.”
My favorite lines are probably when Jay is riding the Mission RS and says:
You know it kind of makes you wonder, what if the electric motorcycle had come first? And then you get on a gas bike and you go, w-w-whoa, ‘Hey, why do I have to shift gears? Why is it so noisy?! Hey, why do I have to fill it up with gas all the time?’
You drive this for awhile, or you ride this for awhile, and it feels like the most natural thing in the world. You’ve got torque at every part of the throttle. No downshifting, no nothing. You just open the throttle and you go.
At the end of the clip, Jay doesn’t hesitate to call electric vehicles what they are: ”It’s the future, what can I say?”
