This week the World’s Fastest Car Show asks a simple question: “Where is it written that you can’t have any fun in a hybrid?”
To be fair, the folks at Tesla might be letting out a little “ahem” on the electric vehicle side of things, and rightly so. But there’s certainly a stereotype that hybrids offer environmental friendliness, in exchange for a definite compromise in the fun category. And on this week’s episode of the The World’s Fastest Car Show, the 2013 Lexus CT 200h F Sport is put to the test. Powered by a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine paired to an electric motor, the F Sport cranks out a modest 134 hp, and takes 9.8 seconds to hit 60 mph. The flip side of course is that it returns 43 mpg in the city, and is good for 40 mpg on the highway. But the question remains, is it fun? You can check out the video below to find out:
