Vermont OKs wind testing towers

Eolian Renewable Energy has been given the green light to install meteorological towers in northern Vermont.
The state Public Service Board granted a ‘certificate of public good’ authorizing the installation of four met stations in the towns of Brighton, Ferdinand and Newark.
The New Hampshire-based developer proposes to build the Seneca Mountain wind farm in a joint venture with turbine manufacturer Nordex. The partners scaled down the project to 60MW from the initial proposal of 100MW. The proponents plan to install Nordex N117 2.4MW turbines with a 91-meter hub height.
Regional electricity grid operator ISO New England is conducting a system impact study for interconnection of the ridgeline project.
