Airsynergy's Enhanced Wind Turbine.
A Granard-based green energy business has landed a licencing deal with a US company, which will manufacture and market its products.
Airsynergy, which has its head office in the Church Quarters area of Granard town, was established five years ago and in that time has developed a revolutionary new wind turbine design.
“We’re confident that our technology designs offer a compelling value proposition to meet the gobal need for more efficient wind turbine technology,” explained the company’s co-founder, Jim Smyth.
Airsynergy intends to licence its designs to a global network of partners.
The first licencing deal for the technology was signed with Aris Renewable Energy in New York, which will manufacture and distribute Airsynergy’s Enhanced Wind Turbine product line in the eastern United States, as well as identifying other suitable licencees in North and South America.
CEO of Aris, Gerry Ryan, said: “We want to give US consumers, both residential and commercial, the opportunity for total and sustainable energy independence and we can aim to achieve that through the use of Airsynergy’s enhanced wind turbines.
