Energy mafia actively working against Bulgaria: Volen Siderov

Sofia. “At the moment we are witnessing an energy mafia, in which we have strongly entangled the figure of President Rosen Plevneliev and his wife. This circle of people is actively working against Bulgaria,” said Volen Siderov, leader of Ataka party, speaking at a press conference of his party, FOCUS News Agencyreporter informed.
In Siderov’s words, “this mafia” is also comprised of former ministers Simeon Dyankov, Nikolay Mladenov and Traycho Traykov. He called them a circle of people working against Bulgaria.
Siderov remarked that the amendments to the Energy Act affected the interests of certain circles of people and concerned the so-called green energy, which was sold at very expensive prices.
Volen Siderov informed that he was to address the Prosecutor’s Office over the Bulgarian Helsinki Committee, which in his words was working against the Bulgarian state, too.
Asked to comment on the protests staged in Bulgaria Siderov said, as follows: “Behind the picture presented as national protest and the attempt to make a coup in Bulgaria, we see the affected economic interests of energy lobbies and political circles, which did not get representation in the parliament. Some dummies, presenting themselves as the nation, will not stop me, because this is not the nation.”
