Green Energy wants town to rebid solar project

By Kathryn Gallerani
KINGSTON-
Kingston selectmen will take under consideration requests from the Green Energy Committee to rebid the the solar array project on the town’s capped landfill and to reduce the number of committee members to five.
Committee Chairman Mark Beaton said he believes the timing is right to rebid the solar project due to a changing political and economic climate. He cited difficulties getting a quorum for meetings as the reason for the proposal to reduce the number of committee members from seven to five.
Selectmen agreed to consider both recommendations at the next regular board meeting, Tuesday, July 2.
