Wind-solar hybrid power-supply system


Hybrid renewable energy systems (HRES) are becoming popular as stand-alone power systems for providing electricity in remote areas due to advances in renewable energy technologies and subsequent rise in prices of petroleum products.
A hybrid energy system, or hybrid power, usually consists of two or more renewable energy sources used together to provide increased system efficiency as well as greater balance in energy supply.

A solar hybrids system , include solar-wind systems. The combination of wind and solar PV has the advantage that the two sources complement each other because the peak operating times for each system occur at different times of the day and year. The power generation of such a hybrid system is therefore more constant and fluctuates less than each of the two component subsystems.

It is a example of a hybrid energy system is a photovoltaic array coupled with a wind turbine.This would create more output from the wind turbine during the winter, whereas during the summer, the solar panels would produce their peak output.
Hybrid energy systems often yield greater economic and environmental returns than wind, solar, geothermal  stand-alone systems by themselves.
 An inverter is used to generate AC low voltage, which more typical appliances can be used with.Stand-alone photovoltaic power systems are independent of the utility grid and may use solar panels only or may be used in conjunction with a diesel generator, a wind turbine ,

 The manufacturer will have its own station, where you can see they are operating, and providing the necessary energy users, but also creating electricity charging station, independent, for cars, motorcycles and electric vehicle development to help electric vehicles for removal carbon emissions

 This is the energy of the future to replace oil and gas consumption, to defend the planet from carbon emissions, but also against the danger of "nuclear accident" as it was "Fukushima"

Yamaha PES1 and PED1 electric motorcycles headed for manufacturing

Yamaha to Produce PES1, PED1 Electric Motocycles Starting in 2016
The Yamaha PES1 and PED1 electric motorcycles debuted at the 2013 Toyko Auto Show, and the Japanese motorcycle maker has greenlit both for production. This marks Yamaha’s entry into the growing electric motorcycle market, and could disrupt the domination of startups like Zero and Brammo.
In its annual report, Yamaha slyly announced that its two electric motorcycle concepts would enter production in 2016. While the PED1 is aimed at dirt bikers wanting a zero emissions motorcycle, the PES1 is designed with street and track racing in mind, even though both concepts use the same motor and transmission.
Yamaha hasn’t released any sort of performance specifications yet, but is promising both bikes will be quite light. The concept PES1 tipped the scales at just 221 pounds, and the PED1 comes in at an even-lighter 187 pounds. That’s a full 200 pounds lighter than the Zero ZF11.4 electric streetbike, and is due in large part to the minimalist styling of these Yamaha EVs.
2016 Yamaha PED1 Electric Motorcycles - PED stands for Passion Electric Dirt. The 2016 PED1 is sort of a dirtbike version of the PES1, as revealed by the mudguard and tyres. Yamaha says that it's PED1 electric motorcycle concepts are going into production by 2016.

Sway MotorSports revealed at CES 2014

Sway Motorsports has been busy showing off a clever three-wheeler compact all-electric vehicle. The contraption, which uses a linkage system to allow leaning, is designed to provide "the thrill and manoeuvrability of motorcycling without the same risk of falling".
What is Sway?

The main difference is that on a Sway, riders have direct control of vehicle tilt with their legs, through the patented linkage design. This allows the vehicle to be operated in a totally distinct manner from a motorcycle or a Piaggio MP3 -- Sway can turn tighter, and riders don't have to balance the vehicle or put their feet down at a stop.
The direct control of tilt with the legs, along with a slightly wider footprint, means that Sway offers riders greater stability in low-traction conditions such as snow, mud or ice.

Urb-E is a prototype electric scooter debut at CES 2014

Ben Popper takes a spin around the Las Vegas Convention Center on the Urb-E, a prototype foldable electric scooter that its creators claim is the world's lightest. The concept personal vehicle will be seeking backers on Kickstarter in February.


The past few years have seen an explosion in the number of innovative electric personal transportation vehicles. But the ultra-simple Urb-E claims to be the world's most compact folding electric vehicle, and it's undoubtedly one of the world's most bizarre. The prototype device making its public debut at CES 2014 is an eye-catcher — with bright colors and polka-dot metallic frame — though whether that's a good thing is a matter of personal taste. It comes in both two-and three-wheeled models.
At 25 pounds, the majority of its weight in battery, the scooter felt even lighter than we expected. It reportedly charges in three hours, with a range of 20 miles per charge, more than enough to get urban commuters from the subway or bus to their office, or to run errands around their neighborhoods
The folding mechanism wasn't immediately intuitive, but it was simple enough to master after a quick tutorial. And the 15-mile-per-hour electric motor made us the envy of all others when navigating the crowded showroom floor of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

SAN DIEGO — More than 400 new models will be on display when the San Diego International Auto Show opens Wednesday for a five-day run at the convention center.
The San Diego International Auto Show features the widest variety of new vehicles under one roof, featuring over 400 vehicles from 36 global manufacturers. The 2014 model-year vehicles showcase the newest levels of technology that enhance the driving experience, packaged in luxurious interiors and wrapped in cutting edge designs.

The show is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.

2014 ZERO SR ELECTRIC MOTORCYCLE

Electric motorcycle maker Zero awards its first “R” to the most powerful bike it’s ever built.
The electric revolution continues. The new R version of the Zero S offers riders 56 percent higher torque and 24 percent more power—106 pound-feet and 67 horses—and means the Zero SR can hit 60 mph in 3.3 seconds and 102 mph, according to Zero. Which is impressive enough on paper, but even more electrifying when you actually unleash that torque from between a couple lanes of stopped cars.

What you’re looking at is a 75-7 passively air-cooled, high efficiency, radial flux, permanent high-temp magnet, brushless motor controlled by your basic high-efficiency 660-amp three-phase brushless controller with regenerative deceleration. Plug it into your standard 110-volt outlet, and you’re fully charged in about 10 hours.
Other components have been upgraded to keep pace with that 660-amp motor controller and its sleek new integrated heat sink: Now there’s a stronger, adjustable 43mm fork, improved rear suspension, wider triple clamps, a more robust frame/swingarm design and improved brake calipers and larger diameter rotors.
FEDERAL AND STATE INCENTIVES
UP TO $2,500 BACK FROM THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT
In the United States, the E-motorcycle Federal Tax Credit covers 10% of the purchase price of a street legal electric motorcycle up to a maximum of $2,500. Motorcycle accessories may also be eligible for a 10% federal tax credit when purchased on the same invoice as your motorcycle.
The 2014 price for Zero SR with ZF 11.4 battery is $16,995.

Kawasaki "J" EV Motorcycle Concept 2014 [VIDEO]

The once clear delineation between the car and motorcycle has become somewhat muddied in recent times with the emergence of an array of narrow tracked vehicle designs sporting two, three and four wheels. Kawasaki threw another fascinating oddity into the ring at the Tokyo Motor Show today with the unveiling of the outlandish, shape-shifting "J" 3-wheel electric vehicle concept.
Looking something like a Tron Lightcycle in Kawasaki Lime Green livery, the J is able to morph between a low-slung riding position (Sport Mode) that allows the rider to carve through corners at speed and a higher stance (Comfort Mode) in which the distance between the front wheels is widened for more relaxed urban cruising. Steering-wise, the J has neither a wheel or handlebars, instead employing two levers that seem akin to those found on zero-turn ride-on lawn mowers.
The J will be powered by a bank of high-capacity nickel-metal hydride batteries, but there's no word yet on what range or top speed they might afford. As for production units hitting the streets, we'll have to wait and see what potential buyers think of this strange beast before Kawasaki makes a final decision on whether or not to give it the green light.
There’s not a lot more to say about the J concept, as Kawasaki didn’t provide many more details on the electric vehicle, except for the fact steering is done via levers bonded to the front wheels. It doesn’t look like the motorcycle will be heading into production any time soon, so you are left to dream about a distant future riding bikes like this instead of actually being able to get one now.
