The Nissan BladeGlider electric car concept is designed to mimic the aerodynamics of a glider and a stealth plane, featuring a distinct triangular shape and and a carbon-fiber underbody. The lightweight, aerodynamic three-seater is ready for the racetrack, allowing for tight cornering thanks to its narrow front end. Currently just a concept car, the BladeGlider is expected to make its way into production in some form in the near futre.
Inspiration for the BladeGlider is drawn from the sky, with designers incorporating the aerodynamics of a glider as well as the shape of swept wing jets.he BladeGlider achieves its aerodynamic prowess by mirroring the narrow front end of performance jets—about three feet separate the car's front wheels. The tight configuration also helps shift the center of gravity to the rear, helping for high-speed cornering.
Power comes from lithium-ion battery modules that sit low in the car's rear, adding to its stability and keeping the vehicle whisper quiet.
