It has emerged that Mahindra Reva is busy readying a more powerful Mahindra e2o for the European car markets. It is being said that there are good chances that the updated e20 would come to us soon after it has been launched in Europe.
Powering the high-performance electric car could be an updated powertrain, which would have a power figure of approx 81bhp.
The Mahindra Reva E2O, which is a two door car, is a four seater and is more spacious than the Reva EV, which was previously on sale in both India and Europe. The current India spec e20 has a range of 160km and a top speed of 105kmph.
A ‘first in segment’ on the Mahindra Reva E2O is the self-texting feature that will inform the driver about the Time-to-full-charge, pre-heat or pre-cool the car, mail you a report on your driving habits or even unlock the door as you approach.
The Reva E2O also has the REVive technology, which holds a certain amount of electric charge for emergencies and can be activated remotely if the primary charge has been completely exhausted.
It would be interesting to see how the more powerful e20 would fair in the car market.
